Who we are
SalonHQ is a trade name of Barber Directory, Inc. This policy covers the SalonHQ website at salonhq.co, operated by Barber Directory, Inc. doing business as SalonHQ ("SalonHQ", "we", "us"). It explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us, and how we use it. It does not cover the SalonHQ platform used by our business customers, which is governed by the agreements we have with those customers.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your business name (if you provide it), what you're interested in (such as a demo, a partnership or investing), and anything you write in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Cookies. This website does not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a demo, or discuss a partnership or investment.

- To keep the website running, secure and free of spam.

Who we share it with

- Netlify hosts this website and receives and stores contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Email providers we use to read and reply to your message.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and continue the conversation, and then for up to 24 months unless you become a customer or partner or ask us to delete it sooner. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that is wrong,
- delete your information, or
- stop contacting you.
Depending on where you live, including California, the EU or the UK, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, or to complain to your local data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

This site is served over an encrypted (https) connection, and we limit access to form submissions to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using this site, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
